In 2014 I began working on the Bently Heritage Estate Distillery that would eventually become Minden Mill Distilling in Minden, NV. I was subject matter expert, selected all of the equipment, and worked with architects, contractors, and engineers to design it and get it built.

In 2017 I took the role of Master Distiller and designed all of the products and in 2020 I took the role of General Manager and led the company through launch to the successful sale to Foley Family. It is an estate distillery, ranch, malthouse, with 2 distilleries, and climate controlled barrel warehouses making whiskies and clear spirits scaled to fill around 3,000 barrels a year. It currently operates under the Foley Family spirits portfolio who purchased it in 2022.

Good Deeds Spirits is a collaboration between craft distilleries that donates 100% of proceeds to the Stepup foundation. Blended from donated whiskey, packaged in donated materials, this is a first of its kind charity project made possible by people who believe in things.

Other projects and jobs

I’ve built 8 facilities, run many spirits programs, designed spirits for multiple companies. Right now I’m building 3 distilleries or beverage facilities, blending 3 products, consulting with a number of spirits companies.

I built the Deaths Door facility in 2011-2012 and redesigned all of the products. It is now owned by Dancing Goat Distillery and is produced on the same equipment.

I optimized production, helped scale up the facility, designed products to expand the portfolio, and ran production for 3 years.

I graduated from this program with a focus on fermentation and distillation. During my time there we built a $250k/year contract manufacturing book of business, consulted with many craft distillers on products and equipment, and led education both through university classes and industry workshops.
